Malta’s own conference centre, MFCC (Malta Fairs and Convention Centre) in Ta’ Qali, becomes the venue in which Malta’s culinary world is brought to the fore, with a chefs competition, exhibition area and conference platform.
MFCC, ta’ Qali, established in October 2006, is a multi-purpose venue. Located in Ta’Qali, which is very close to Rabat and Mdina in the centre of the island, MFCC is the largest indoor venue in Malta and hosts a number of yearly events including concerts, exhibitions, conferences and much more.
The MFCC venue was set up using a semi-permanent structure referred to as the Tension Fabric Structure (TFS), which is 170 metres long, 50 metres wide and 17 metres high and can hold 14,000 people seated or 24,000 standing.
MFCC provides an event space that avoids the hindrance of columns and support structures, which from an event perspective only obstruct the way. The venue is ideal for conventions that are looking for a flexible option, where a conference set up during the day can be adapted to a gala dinner or concert set up in the evening, with the capacity to hold up to 24,000 people.
From the 27th through the 30th of January 2020, MFCC will host the Malta Catering Expo.
