What is The Malta Catering Expo?

The Malta Catering Expo is Malta’s main culinary B2B event, in association with the Malta Chefs Society, showcases the latest trends and innovations in the catering industry by Malta’s leading suppliers. This all happens in conjunction with the Malta Kulinarja, a chef’s competition extravaganza that has over 200 leading professionals battling out to win Malta’s prestigious culinary awards.

Over 4 days, from January 27th through the 30th, exhibitors and chefs will convene towards MFCC for The Malta Catering Expo

Latest Innovations

Purchasing managers, F&B managers, chefs, restaurateurs and all major players within the Horeca industry will visit the event to see the latest innovations within the catering world whilst seeing leading chefs, both local and foreign, competing in Malta’s main catering competition – Malta Kulinarja.

Malta Kulinarja

Malta Kulinarja is held under the auspices of WACS – World Association of Chefs Societies, thereby necessitating the presence of international judges to officiate the event, together with the Malta Chefs Society. In previous editions, some 8 foreign WACS accredited judges were flown down specifically to handle the points system for every competition. Chefs competing hail from local hotels and restaurants, together with several teams coming from overseas


On Monday 27th January, a conference will be held, in collaboration with the newly launched HORECA magazine, for business leaders to listen, discuss and interact with the panel of speakers touching upon various topical subjects and issues pertaining to the catering industry.


Exhibitors will have the focused platform from which to showcase their products and services to the decision makers throughout the 4 days of the event, with further networking opportunities throughout the expo hours.
